Donald Trump has promised to protect the mining sector.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump held a meeting with representatives of the bitcoin mining industry and promised to protect mining in the United States and around the world.

The guests included Matthew Schultz from CleanSpark, Jason Les and Brian Morgenstern from Riot Platforms, Salman Khan from Marathon Digital and Amanda Fabiano from Fabiano Consulting. 

Also at the meeting was the CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, David Bailey. 

Earlier, at the national convention of the Libertarian Party, Trump said that the United States should become a leader in the crypto industry. He also promised to release the founder of the Silk Road darknet market, Ross Ulbricht, if elected head of state.

In June, a participant in the election race called himself a "crypto president" and criticized Democrats' attempts to regulate the industry.

According to the Paradigm survey, about 48% of voters who own digital assets plan to vote for Trump. Another 38% are for Biden, 13% are undecided.
